Introduction
It is not surprising that the Israelites rejected Jesus as the Messiah. Even, they rejected Him before His coming into the world. That was why the Ark of Covenant left Israel and went to Ethiopia.
Who Are The Jews?
First, this expanation should start by expalining who the Jews or Isrealites are. The Jews or Isrealites include the following:
- A member of the tribe of Judah.
- An Israelite.
- A member of a nation existing in the land of Israel from the 6th century B.C. to the 1st century A.D.
- A person belonging to the Israelites either through descent or conversion of the ancient Jewish people.
- A person whose religion is Judaism.
Explanations And Corrections
- Majority of the Israelites do not accept Jesus as the Lord of salvation and as the God who created the world.
Things of the spirit are not what you can explain by ordinary logic or human reasoning. That’s why there is so much confusion and contradictions, because each set of religious leaders are just practicing and teaching what they think, as they deem fit.
Before a person can teach and explain spirituality, he must be a mystic.
A mystic is somebody who has had several direct experiences and spiritual encounters.
He must have met God face to face on several occasions.
He must have visited the heavenly kingdoms.
He must have interacted with the Angels, several times.
He must have visited the Beautiful Tunnel, the Hell, Abyss, etc.
As the man who saw God face to face on so many occasions, I say without mincing words that it is God Almighty that came down as Jesus Christ, to save humanity from everlasting doom. Only the blood of God is ripe enough to appease God.
- The religious leaders of Israelites do not accept Jesus as the Christ, and they make the people of Israel believe the same.
Ask your self “Who are these religious leaders or teachers of the law?”
One, they are the descendants and successors of ancient leaders of Israel.
Two, that a person is a religious leader does not qualify him to teach about God and life, if he is not spiritually awake, enlightened and experience. It is pity that while some are busy boasting to be the best religion, when others are already enjoying the kingdom even while still on earth.
Three, before you can teach about god and life, you must have had direct spiritual experiences or learnt from somebody who actually knows. Most of the religious leaders in the world are not yet spiritually awake, enlightened and experienced. Even those who have spiritual talents and perform miracles do not have spiritual knowledge and wealth of experience.
Four, the fact that a religious leader attended a theological college, seminary or convent is not enough. There is a very wide gap between learning by teaching and learning by experience. In fact, direct spiritual experiences and encounters are very important, and indispensable.
Five, those religious leaders who say that Jesus is not the Messiah should first tell the world about themselves. They should tell the world how many times they have seen God, how many times they have seen Jesus Christ, how many times they have seen the Holy Spirit, and how many times they have seen and interacted with the Angels. Also, they should tell the world the places they have visited in spirit.
Six, Jesus said many religious leaders are blind (ignorant men leading blind (equally ignorant) multitudes. The same thing is true, even today.
For example, Jesus was frequently saying that He came from the Father and that He and the Father are one.
John the Baptist told the world that he came to baptize with water.
Jeremiah said that God made him a prophet to the nations.
Moses told the world that God sent him to bring the Israelites out of Egypt into a promised land.
David said God made him a king and a prophet.
Likewise, let the religious leaders who reject Jesus as God, tell the world about themselves, who they are, what they have come to the world to do.
About myself, let everyone hear this:
“I have come into bear triple witness that Jesus is God, Lord and Father.
“I have come from the Father.
I came in the name of the Father.
Again, I shall return to the Father.
The same Holy Spirit that spoke in Jesus is today speaking to the world.
Jesus said He is the Way, the Truth and Life.
Today, I say that Jesus is the Door, the Key and the Porter.
John the Baptist brought baptism of water.
Jesus brought the baptism of water,
the baptism of Holy Spirit
and the baptism of fire.
Now, I have brought from the Father the baptism of water,
the baptism of Holy Spirit,
the baptism of fire
and the baptism of blood.
On several occasions, I have seen the Lord Almighty face to face.
On several occasions, I have seen the Holy Spirit in His personal and omnipresent form, face to face.
I have visited the heavens, even the highest heaven.
I have ministered inside the Beautiful Tunnel.
I have visted the abyss.
I have seen the mass exodus of people into the half fire, due spiritual ignorance and neglect of the leaders and followers.
Those who are ready should accept the truth that Jesus is God.
- They claim that prophecy ended with the last prophet, Malachi.
This claim alone is enough evidence that the Israelites are not right in what they are saying. Prophecy is the evidence of truth. Prophecy has neither beginning nor end, because in spirit, whatever that has a beginning has an end, and whatever that does not have a beginning has no end. God as Truth is everlasting. The interesting point is that time does not in spirit exist as we know and count time here on earth. Everlasting simply means the Eternal Now.
How can they claim that prophecy ended with Malachi, when in fact there are so many prophets in the world today. Even scientists and professionals are prophets in their areas of study and specializations.
- Jesus failed to do hose things they expected the Messiah to do. One was to destroy evil. Two was to establish an everlasting kingdom of the Israelites, which kingdom shall be pre-eminent in the world.
The Messiah is not for Israelites alone, but for the entire world and universe. Their view is the selfish problem with people on earth. Each nation, either in legends, folklore or expectation, wants their own nation placed above the other nations. The events and distribution of natural resources show that God does not have favourites, except establishing favoured ones for the general good of all. Every nation is in one way or the other better or superior to others. Each has been favoured to benefit others. That is why there is international relations, economic interdependence, exchange programs, tourism, multinational corporations, etc. The fact that God choose Israelites does not mean that God cares about only. He choose Israelites in order to introduce Himself to the entire humanity. So, waiting for a Messiah that will save on ly the Israelites is an act of selfishness and spiritual blindness. It is bad. Again, it is both dangerous and misleading. “Selfhood is the path that leads to deception,” says the Almighty.
At least, they believed john the Baptist, and john the Baptist told exactly what Jesus said to them. Compare the two Bible references below:
- 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, 9 and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones (other nations of the world).” Matthew 3:7-10
- 10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Matthew 8:10-13
The world should even blame Israel for nothing spreading the true worship of God to all nations. They were self-centered, until Jesus came and removed the veil that separated the nations of the world. Anyway, do not blame them because God’s blessing is upon them.
To fail to recognize when God is on the move is both bad and dangerous. Already, the Israelites have suffered enough for them to understand what God is doing.
Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said to them, "When it is evening you say, 'It will be fair weather, for the sky is red'; 3 and in the morning, 'It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matthew 16:1-3 The interpretation is that enough signs have already been given to both Israel and humanity. All you do to benefit from God is true faith and obedience, not human logic, reasoning, arguments or reasons, all which are unacceptable.
- The Israelites believe that the prophet shall rise up in Israel and focus all attention on the wellbeing of Israelites.
When God told the Israelites that He would raise up a prophet from their midst, God was telling them that there shall be a successor to Moses. And since the time of Moses, Israelites have had several successors - prophets, one after the other or some as contemporaries. The prophetic words of Moses were fulfilled not only by Jesus, but also by other prophets of Old and New testaments, as well as by current prophets.
- The Israelites expected the Messiah to deliver them from roman bondage, and set up a kingdom for Israel. When Jesus was entering Jerusalem, they were shouting “Hossanna.” They later became disappointed that Jesus allowed Himself to be arrested, tried and crucified.
When God says He would do something,
He does it the right way He deems fit,
which is usually different from the ways of man.
God made this known in the book of Isaiah, saying,
8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD.
9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
When the house of Eli disappointed God, God turned to Samuel. When King Saul disappointed God, God turned to David. When King Solomon disappointed God, God turned to jeroboam. Likewise, when Israel rejected the gospel of Jesus Christ, St Paul was made to take the gospel of salvation to the Gentiles who would believe in Jesus and accept Him as Lord and Savior.
- The Israelites centered their Judaism mainly among themselves. Efforts were not made to teach God’s worship to other nations. In other words, they were self-centered and by that were hindering God’s work of salvation.
Jesus made it clear by His teachings and deeds that both gospel and salvation were for all nations of the world.
- The Israelites suffered a lot from other nations and group that persecuted them for many years. They encountered severe persecutions in the form of crusades, inquisition, pogroms in Europe and Hitler’s Holocaust. During these tying periods, Christians did not identify or defend the Israelites.
One, even Christians were also severely persecuted in many places and at different times.
Two, God made it known to the Israelites that He would abandon them to suffer in the hands of foreign nations, if they stray away from Him. That is the only alternative left to God, because the Israelites were a disobedient and stubborn nation. Several times in the history, they suffered in the hands of their enemies. But, whenever they remembered God and turned to Him, He delivered them.
If the Israelites complain that the Christians abandoned them at the time of persecutions, the Israelites are right. A true church suppose to speak out against man’s inhumanity to man.
- Messianic Jews, who have accepted Jesus as the Messiah, do not believe or celebrate Christmas or Easter. They continue to celebrate the Jewish festivals and feast days as prescribed in the Hebrew Scriptures. The festivals are Passover, unleavened bread, Pentecost, trumpet, Day of Atonement and Tabernacles. Others are Sabbath and New Moon.
The Israelites are right in these points. Christmas and Easter are pagan festivals that were introduced into Christianity. Christmas started in 1038 BC. Which means that there was a change in the method of worship. The unauthorized changes were made when the anti-Christ penetrated into the church and corrupted the worship of God.
The most comprehensive and authoritative book on Roman Catholic Church, called Catholic Encyclopedia, says that Easter is the name of Lithuanian goddess.
The ancient festivals of Israelites remain the true festivals of Christianity. That was why Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill them.” Matthew 5:17-18
Again Jesus said, “The scribes and the Pharisees (i.e. religious leaders) sit in Moses' seat. 3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.” Matthew 23:2-4
What other evidence do you want? Today, many churches pretend to be doing what God said, but are not doing it. “Indeed, it is terrible,” says the man who saw God face to face. “What many call religions are nothing but multiplicity of idolatry.”
They do not believe Jesus fulfilled Moses’ prophecy of God giving another prophet like Moses to the Israelites.
Actually, Moses spoke about future prophets saying, “The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;” Deuteronomy 18:15
And God confirmed it:
“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.” Deuteronomy 18:18,19
When Moses requested for another prophet, God answered that He (God) would give the Israelite another prophet. God meant that there would always be a prophet among the Israelites to direct them. That is why each time God ordains a king for the Israelites, He supports the king with a priest and a prophet. King Baraak had Prophetess Deborah; King Saul had Prophet Samuel; King David had Prophet Nathan; King Ahab had prophet Elijah but failed to obey Elijah.
